Program teaches doctors empathy
The Canadian Cancer Society says over the course of the next year 170,000 Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer.
It's a harrowing, confusing time, and when the diagnosis is made, most of those patients will be looking for a little kindness, a sympathetic ear to go along with their treatment.
Unfortunately, empathy is not a skill that comes naturally to all doctors.
