Follow up the key to good heart care

According to a new study, the Canadian health care system may be failing patients who have heart failure by not living up to guidelines for follow up care.

Those guidelines suggest patients who have been treated in the ER for heart failure receive some kind of follow up care within two weeks of being discharged, but in a high number of cases that never happens.
