BreakOut West 2011 deemed a huge success

When Debbie Peters started organizing the BreakOut West Music Conference a year ago, she was determined to prove the doubters wrong.

There were people who said the leaders of the music industry wouldn't travel all the way to the Yukon for a weekend of seminars, conferences and live music showcases.

But they did, and the cities that host the event after Whitehorse have big shoes to fill.
