An Evening with Janina Fialkowska

Overcoming a rare disease that attacked her left arm and threatened her ability to play music, Montreal-born Janina Fialkowska went on to become one of the world's most celebrated concert pianists, and to receive a Governor General's Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to the arts in Canada.

Filmed around her February 25th, 2013, concert performance at McGill's Pollack Hall, this documentary looks back on Fialkowska's formidable career, the notion of mastery, and the artist's all-consuming desire to achieve musical perfection.
