Dancing Was My Duty
Halifax was the last stop for hundreds of thousands of soldiers on their way to Europe and the Second World War. They were young men, many still in their teens, looking for love and a distraction from their fears. This one-hour documentary explores how the soldiers transformed this small east coast city, and the young Halifax women who also had a duty—to dance with them.
