North Boys, South Girls
This two-part documentary looks at the impact of the Indian Residential Schools on generations of Aboriginal and Inuit citizens. Compelling chapters explore the personal journeys of the main characters as they find their way back to their culture and traditions.
South Girls follows two Inuk women living in Ottawa who are community leaders helping other Inuit families find their way in the big city. North Boys reveals the heart-wrenching story of two Aboriginal men, friends since childhood and now in their 70s, who have spent their lifetime coming to terms with their horrific experiences at an Indian Residential School in Northern B.C.
