Four-Wheeled Furies

They are women you see every day: the smiling barista who never forgets your order, the single mom who always brings cookies to play group, the Grade 5 teacher who conducts the school choir. But several times a week, the gloves come off, the skates go on, and their alter egos take over on the fiercely competitive roller derby track.

Four-Wheeled Furies follows the Rideau Valley Roller Girls (RVRG) and the fascinating world of roller derby. These Ottawa-area women aren't simply skating around in circles. They're aggressive--sometimes downright nasty--and focused on three things: winning, having fun, and giving back to the local community.

Hockey Migrations

Hockey Migrations - Trailer - (1:20)

Juno-nominated filmmaker Tony Girardin travels to northern Quebec to follow the Tasiujaq Eagles hockey team as they gear up to face off in the Ungava Cup, the annual Nunavik hockey tournament.

Captivating cinematography and portraits of team members round out this touching story about community, ambition and a rapidly-changing culture, and how bringing a zamboni to a northern community changes the game.
