On Sunday, October 30, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., listeners across the country will be treated to an exceptional musical experience. Eight concerts will be broadcast from eight cities chosen for the vitality of their arts scenes and their specific musical traditions. Halifax, Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Banff and Vancouver will each be showcased in turn, drawing on the world-class talent of leading Canadian musicians.
This special Canada in Concert day will be offered to the European Broadcasting Union so that 75 years of Canadian public radio can be celebrated aboard.
