In the sketch, you can see the intended look for camera 2 and camera 7 - which would be used for a close up in an interview area and for a close up on the host of the evening.
Joe Clark's Progressive Conservatives defeated Pierre Trudeau's Liberals in the 1979 election.
In just seven years, Clark had gone from rookie MP to party leader to prime minister.
In May 1979, Clark and his party end 16 years of Liberal rule to form a minority government - winning 136 seats to the Liberals' 114, the NDP's 26 and six for Social Credit.Watch the leaders' debate from the 1979 election:
