Casey's Spagehetti Lunch - Original Airdate : 1984-01-02

Ernie Coombs (a.k.a. Mr. Dressup) was a staple of CBC's morning schedule for an incredible 32 years. Along with TV pals Casey and Finnegan, the kindly Mr. Dressup entertained generations of Canadian children with simple crafts, sing-alongs and trips to the "tickle trunk" for costumes. The program was produced from 1967 to 1996 and was rebroadcast for another decade.

Casey shows Finnegan how to use the telephone. Casey sings a song about learning to remember. Mr. Dressup talks about what he had to do when Casey was a baby (illustrations shown). They decide to make a magic picture and Mr. Dressup demonstrates how to make one. Mr. Dressup decides to make pasta for lunch. He shows the different kinds and shapes of pasta, and then he makes his own pasta from dough using a pasta maker. Casey invites his friend George over for lunch, and Mr. Dressup shows how to make fancy placemats out of paper towels and food colouring. Mr. Dressup, Casey and Finnegan play Simon Says. Cast: Ernie Coombs, Judith Lawrence.
