Singer Rosemary Clooney appeared on the CBC Television variety series Chrysler Festival
The Chrysler Festival
was a variety miniseries that aired in 1957 and featured several concerts that were broadcast on television.
The concerts were recorded live at the Loew's Uptown Theatre in Toronto - with up to 2,000 people in the audience. The performers included ballet dancers, quartets, Broadway singers, comics and notable other dancers and singers, including the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Oscar Peterson. The show was hosted by Elaine Grand.
Clooney was a guest on an episode that also included appearances by Maureen Forrester and Glenn Gould.
Clooney would later make other appearances on CBC, including a 1961 special, The Swingin' Sound of Nelson Riddle
