CBC.ca launches major site redesign

On June 3, 2006, CBC.ca officially launches its first redesign since 2000. The work began 15 months prior, starting with a massive study conducted by Decima Research. The survey asked for opinions about dozens of elements of CBC.ca’s design, information architecture and content. More than 5,000 people responded.

The results of that survey, combined with the daily feedback received through e-mails, phone calls and our online forms, formed the basis of the redesign.

Among the changes: home page architecture and labels were revised, radio and television links were made more prominent, and the news section was completely redesigned.
