OTTAWA - Prime Minister Jean Chrétien said Dec. 10 will be known as a wonderful day for Canadians because Parliament will approve the Kyoto Protocol to reduce greenhouse gases.
Speaking to reporters just before the vote, Chrétien continued his efforts to sell the controversial deal.
"It's a great day for Canada, a great day for the environment and a great day for our kids," he said.
