LONDON - About 400,000 people gathered Tuesday morning in the streets outside Westminster Abbey to witness the pomp and ceremony of the funeral of the Queen Mother.
World leaders, European royalty and heads of state were in attendance inside the historic abbey.
So were thousands of ordinary citizens. "It wasn't just little old ladies who were remembering the Second World War," a historian said. "It was the whole of Britain."
