TORONTO - Software giant Microsoft pulled the wraps off its latest operating system Windows XP amid a wave of hype on Thursday.
The company is spending about $200 million US on the launch of its latest Windows product, with some of that cash spent on fancy release parties across Canada and around the world. Company founder and chairman Bill Gates was in New York City for a launch event in Times Square.
"This is a version of Windows that will take the PC industry to new heights," Gates said.
