WASHINGTON - Making jokes about his bad moves on the dance floor, George W. Bush appeared to waltz easily into his new role as the 43rd U.S. president Saturday night.
"Now is not the time for speeches, it's the time for dancing," he said at one of more than half a dozen bashes held around Washington after he was officially sworn into office.
Earlier in the day, thousands of people braved chilly weather to watch the historic event on Capitol Hill, which combined solemn ceremony with exuberant celebration. Military bands played upbeat songs as spectators lined the streets waving flags.
