MONTREAL - Just as his trial was set to begin, a Canadian teenager known as Mafiaboy admitted Thursday to crippling several major computer Web sites last year.
The 16-year-old pleaded guilty to 56 of 66 mischief charges in a Montreal courtroom. The other 10 charges were withdrawn.
The teen, who can't be identified under the Young Offenders Act, is free pending sentencing. Judge Gilles Ouellet of Quebec youth court will hear Crown and defence arguments about an appropriate punishment in April.
