WASHINGTON - An apparent terrorist bomb tore through an American destroyer in the Yemeni port of Aden on the Arabian Peninsula Thursday. Officials say at least six Americans are dead and 11 others are missing.
Authorities say a small boat drew up alongside the USS Cole and was helping it dock. They say two men stood up in the boat and then there was an explosion.
The blast caused a hole 10 to 15 metres wide on the port side of the Cole along the water line. Officials say 35 sailors are injured.
