For the first time, CBC.ca traffic hits more than 1.5 million page requests in a single day.
The key draw continues to be news content, comprising a record 850,000 page views. About 100,000 requests come from mobile devices like PDAs and cellphones.
“We are very proud of this accomplishment as it shows that people truly care about quality content online,” said CBC.ca managing director Adrian Mills. “Whether they’re using their computers, their cellphones or their hand-held organizers, we are making sure that CBC is there for them.”
Previous one-day milestones included Tall Ships coverage (1.1 million page views) and millennium celebrations (1.2 million page views.)
