KUMANOVO, MACEDONIA - A final agreement has been reached ending the war in Kosovo. "It is tragic that intransigence" forced NATO to mount the air campaign against Yugoslavia, said Lt.-Gen. Sir Mike Jackson. "Now it's time to look ahead."
"The war has ended," Yugoslav Col. Gen. Svetozar Marjanovic said, after Jackson made his statement.
Official word came after hours of protracted talks between Yugoslav and NATO military officials in a tent at the Kumanovo air base in Macedonia.
